[SOLVED] GPU Fans speed up like crazy and pc crashes

2 days while playing a game my GPU fans sped up like crazy and my pc black screened so i had to reboot, this was the first time this happened.
today it happened twice.

does anyone know what the issue is? i have a sc2 black edition gtx 1080ti, the thermals are great, no overheating issues.

i updated my drivers recently so could that be the issue?

If the specs to your system are that which are listed in your sig space, please find it in your heart to state the specs to your build in the body of the thread. Logic behind that this thread and it's relevant solution(s) will end up moot to the person in the same boat as you.

That being said, please add the make and model of your PSU and it's age. Check and see what OS version you're on as well as well as the version for the drivers for your Nvidia GPU. If you want to rule out drivers as the culprit, uninstall the GPU drivers with DDU. Reinstall with the latest off of Nvidia's support site but install them in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.
