Was playing the Half Life 2 VR Mod when my GPU fans suddenly spin at max speed for a few seconds, then my PC restarts automatically. Now whenever I try to start the PC it gets to the windows logo but then does the same thing with the fans and restarts again. I've narrowed it down to a GPU problem, as it starts and works fine without the GPU connected, but I don't know if it's software or hardware that's causing the problem. So far I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling NVIDIA drivers, and also using DISM.exe to try to repair system files. Nothing seems to have changed. The card is an EVGA 3060 thats only about a year old. Haven't had any issues with it until now. Any ideas on what's going wrong? Thanks!
