GPU fans spin for around 15 seconds upon booting up then turn off, also my monitor gets no signal to it.

I've had a GTX 970 for around 6 months now and havnt had any problems until now, when I try and boot up the pc, the cpu fans spin like normal and the gpu lights up like normal, but then fans don't spin for more than 15 seconds and I get no signal to my monitor. I was wondering where the problem is likely to lie.

Try the usual tricks:
Take out the RAM and reseat it
Do the same with the GPU
Do the same with the CPU and motherboard power cables.

It that does not do it, you might have faulty hardware.
