GPU fans spinning up to 100%, followed by crash on startup

Was playing skyrim and as i loaded a new area PC Crashes and GPU fans spin up to 100%, rebooted and it does the same on startup now. Reseated GPU/checked cables and reinstalled drivers but problem persists. Put card into friend's system and it works just fine. Card was not overclocked when it was in my system. Help appreciated.

CPU-i5 6600k @3.5 GHz
GPU: MSI Gaming X 6g GTX 1060
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4) DD4 2400
PSU: Rosewill Photon-550 550w Power Supply
MOBO: MSI H110i PRO mITX Motherboard

Hey man, i had this issue over the past two weeks. I'll list my solutions because i finally fixed it but feel free to go through MY threads and see all the suggestions from other users and my progress to see how similar our situation is.

Off the top of my head,
You're PSU is now powerful enough, 550W for a 1060 and i5-6600k.
Update drivers, test.. if still crash.
Uninstall drivers using DDU, google it
Install drivers from a few months ago. Test again... Fail?

Check CPU temps, GPU temps make sure they arent at 100c and you have no idea. Are all fans spinning? Dust free?
Over heating, if not... next suggestion.

Try different ram or run MEM test.

If NON of this works.. reseat cables again.. is it a modular PSU? Make sure they are plugged in the right spots.
If all fails.
NEW PSU!
I resorted to new PSU. This exact thing was happening to me. Open game > 5 min > Game crash > Black screen > 100% rpm fans on gpu > Have to shut down.

Completely reset the computer, fresh windows install and everything. Then installed drivers and about ~20 minutes into some light gaming it did it again, don't think gpu is actually overheating because my friend stress tested it for almost an hour and it worked fine. Afterburner showing both CPU and GPU temps well within normal at idle. Havent run memtest yet but wouldn't the fact it runs at all mean the RAM is fine?

Did replacing your PSU actually permanately fix the issue?

Sorry my reply was deleted due to swear word. i did not know they were not allowed.

No, i have exact same problem. Check my thread out i just posted in the systems sub forum. Might help you out if i get a solution. If you end up fixing it please reply to my thread or on here and help me out too.

Incase you are not following my thread, i have determined the MOBO as the problem from a previous PSU fail.
GPU crashes when the GPU and CPU are put under stress at the same time.
I hope this helps in someway.

Update to this, Mobo was not the problem and for me, seems like the CPU is the only thing left.
