Gpu fans stop spinning

Gpu fans spin during boot but once it’s finished booting and the windows login pops up they stop spinning. Gpu still works and games run but the fans don’t spin.

I downloaded Zotac firestorm and was able to turn on the fans from there

What gpu are you using? With most modern gpus, 9xx series for Nvidia and 3xx series for amd, they have incorporated the 0db feature which basically turns off the gpu fans while under a certain temp. I'm guessing this is the case for your situation.

The fans would only spin during boot and nothing else. Even running gta v at max settings with the temperature hitting 150 degrees didn’t turn the fans on. I had to download a program to manually control the fans.
