So I just moved to UK and I brought my pc with me. I used an adapter since you can't really connect an EU power outlet to a UK socket. Everything went fine for the first day, I played some Destiny 2 and Rainbow Six Siege as always. Then all of a sudden the computer restarts for no reason. I open the game and then the game crashes. I repeat the process and everytime the game would just crash. Then the game opens and 2 minutes in the computer completely shuts off. When I boot it up I noticed a white light above the GPUs power cables. I search it up and apparently it might be because the GPU is not getting enough power. So I bought a 850w power supply from gigabyte (I previously had a 750w PSU, which is more than enough for my specs, but it was 3 years old and I thought maybe its time has come). And since then I can't even open up the simplest of the games (Drift 86, Getting over it, Zuma) without the game crashing or the pc restarting. I monitored the temperatures of the GPU with MSI Afterburner and everytime it hits the 70 degrees mark the computer restarts. Sometimes it restarts right after i start the game. I took out the GPU, I cleaned it thoroughly and put it back. Changed the power cables, reinstalled the drivers, reset the entire computer and nothing has helped so far. Do I really need a new GPU?

RTX 2070
32 GB RAM DDR4 3200Mhz
Ryzen 7 3700x
B550 Tomohawk Motherboard
850w Gigabyte P850GM Gold

A "blinking" white LED mostly means improper/abnormal power provided from the PSU. I guess this could also be due to the UK socket or the adapter you bought. But this is definitely a power supply issue to the computer.

Some say this is a normal behavior of the GPU, but I don't agree on this theory. Out of curiosity, which brand's PSU are you using, the 850 W Gold model ?

I'm using the 850w rn and It's a Gigabyte P850GM. I've seen some pretty good reviews about it so I bought it. However, despite the fact that it's new I'm having the same problems as I did with the previous 750w PSU. Also, from what I've read the UK sockets are 230v, unlike the standard european sockets whoch are 220v

Guessing you missed this when researching that PSU.

Also don't use an adapter just get the proper cable.

I am using a proper cable. The PSU came with an uk power cable.

However, the problems appeared with my old 750w PSU which was from Silentium. I don’t know the exact model since I bought it 3 years ago. And the problems I had with that PSU I now have with this new one. It hasn’t exploded yet lol, but I don’t think this is a PSU problem
