I've recently upgraded to a 3440 x 1440p ultrawide display and found out that my current 970 no longer cuts it. I'm just looking to get some thoughts on how current hardware will handle games at that resolution? it's a 60hz monitor so I'm just looking to get a solid 60fps Would a 1080 or 1080ti be enough for current and future games? or would waiting for the 11 series be a safer bet?

Solution
thanks for the input. I know current cards will probably handle most games just fine at 3440 x 1440, but i'm a little worried it might be a stretch for future graphically demanding games. I think i'll do my best to wait and see what the new series has to offer. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.
