GPU for a Athlon II X4 635 in 2018?

I have old pc (from 2010 year) and my graphic card is dead. I wanna buy new one.

8 gb ram
ma785gt-udh3
256 gb ssd
3tb hdd


I have 200-300$ max for this purchase but I heard gpu that cost 1000$ can perform same as gpu for 300$ on old cpu.

I want solid gpu that can perform its potential on my old Athlon II X4 635.

A 1050Ti/1060 class card would be a waste on that processor to be honest.
A 1030/1050 would be the max.
My old Phenom II 965@4.2GHz could barely keep up with a 760.

Well that's a really crappy PSU... a 1050ti/1060 should work in theory on that, but I won't recommend it.

You should upgrade to something like a Corsair CX450/CX550.

My final recommendation for the GPU will be the RX 570 8GB... it sits right between the 1050ti and the 1060 and it's has great value.
