I wanted to ask for an opinion whether i should pair the ryzen r3 1200 with a gtx 1050ti or gtx 1060 3gb considering a 60 USD difference in price. The pc will be used for about 2 years for gaming.

Yeah I reguraly exceed 3gb of vram in games with my 1060 6gb. For example bf1 at max settings 1080p will use about 3.2gb of vram according to afterburner on my system. Fallout 4 will the high resolution dlc uses 5.2gb on my system close to max settings. Dying light uses close to 4gb max settings. Exceeding VRAM wont cripple performance in some games but it will in others. So I would look for a 6gb 1060 unless you are sure the games you play aren't VRAM heavy.

The 3gb model also has one fewer SM than the 6gb version. Th 3gb version shouldn't even really be called a 1060 in my opinion.
