Question Gpu for dell optiplex 980

I am considering buying a used dell optiplex with an i7 860. I am going to put my current ft 1030 in it but wondering what other wattage cards cab be put in. Or how I can put an external power supply in a PC like this to upgrade to a 570 or 580 one day.

Then you need to find out, hard to know what you can put in a system if you don't have info on what that system is.
