so i have ECS G31t-M9 v1.0 i wanted to buy gt 9800 graphic card will it work ?

i have 4 gb ram and cpu pentuem e5300 dual core 2.60

Off-topic, but the e5300 is not fit for general-use in 2019. I assure you that it will drop 20% of the frames from Youtube video at 1080p.

This comment comes from real-world testing. I had tested e3300, athlon 6400+, and e8400 which are on the same period or performance of your cpu.

I found that the minimum usable processors for Intel are the wolfdale cpus. The E8600 is only $15, and has the same tdp as the e5300 so you will not have to change your cpu cooler.

The best cpu for your motherboard is the q9505, but that may require a new cpu cooler as well since this is a 95w tdp cpu.

so u segusting changing cpu also to get better performance from gt 1030 or gt9800 ?
as long as it fits in my old motherboard am ok with it
infact e5300 is killing me

Again, be careful when buying the q9505. This is a hotter cpu due to the TDP, so your cpu cooler may not be able to handle it.

Also, just to confirm, I hope you understand that the 9800 GT is a 10 year old card. It is period-correct and will be an ok match for your system, but do not expect to do anything with any graphics instensive games past probably 2013.
