So, before asking here, I looked up my motherboard on the manufacturer site but was not that happy with what I found.
My motherboard is a : Gigabyte (S-Series) GA-P31-DS3L : which has a PCI Express x16 (which I guess it is a v1.0) !!! Now I would like to know if it really is a v1.0 or v2.0 and secondly I would like to know if I can get a better GPU like a 650 or 750 and if said upgraded GPU will work at maximum capacity ...or what GPU do you recommend.
Other information that you might find useful :
CPU : intel core 2 quad Q6600
GPU : ati radeon HD2600 pro (512 mb vram)
RAM : 2gb (1x1)
I am asking this in case the nvidia 800 series doesn't drop this year and i will only do a full upgrade when that comes out.
