Hello,
I have a i5 6600k with a Z170 PRO GAMING and actually use a Intel HD Graphics 530.
I recently I bought a new monitor a LG 34WL750 and at the resolution of 3440x1440 I can't reach 60hz. I am using the hdmi cable supplied with the monitor.
my gpu tends to go 80% during a 1440p video on google chrome. I work with this PC so I don't want it to have a high consumption. Which low profile video card could I put to reach 60hz and make the environment fluid even during videos? I would also accept a video card for gaming if it consumes little. Most of the time I use software as a visual studio and work on 3d application.

Solution
Use a display port cable to reach 60Hz. You could reach 4096 x 2304 @ 60 Hz theoretically with it.

The power consumption with a dedicated GPU will be much more, than only using the integrated HD 530.
+75Watt @ max

Probably say the GTX 1650. £150 and doesn’t need a PCIE cable. Some pre over locked cards might though so you might wanna make sure the particular one you get doesn’t have any PCIE power connectors

A question: if you switch display port connector from motherboard (hd 530) to new gpu what's happen? Consumption is again the sum of both or the system use the card that is connect to display port cable?
