Hi all

Another which graphics card question I am afraid....

I picked up a second hand pc dirt cheap recently and it contains an old i7 processor i7-2600k 3.4. So a second gen clockable CPU. The graphics card is poor however.
Motherboard supports PCI express and PSU is Corsair 430 with PCI power cable.
Would a Nvidia gtx 1050 run on this setup? Im not concerned with running the latest games flat out, in fact majority of time is spent on eve online.

Computer has 8gb ram so far. I can upgrade PSU to around 550 and increase ram if necessary.
Any advice appreciated. Thank you
Scarlett

Solution
You may want to find out mb model, but 1050 should be fine. It may only need a bios update if mb bios is too old. Psu- get seasonic 520 full modular one.

Absolutely, the 1050 will work just beautifully with your build. and you for sure don't need to upgrade the PSU as the 1050 takes power only from the pci slot and is not very power hungry :) and 8gb is enough for your needs.

Oh yes my friend, it will work well! I have my i7 2600k(overclocked to 4.5) paired with an RX 470 and it kicks butt!!!
