GPU for old Phenom

I wanna buy new gpu. I

AsRock N68C-S UCC
Phenom II X4 840
Crucial Ballistix 2x4GB 1600MHZ
Corsair VS450

I'm thinking about gtx 1050. I want to buy cheap gpu. I was thinking about gtx 750ti but now it's not good idea. Should my cpu run gtx 1050 without "ti"?

I'd go with an AMD card because of potential compatibility issues with the motherboard. If you can find confirmation that the 1050 works with that specific motherboard then it's worth buying.

I heard that if my mobo have pci express 1.0, that gpu shoud not work. Is it true?
