Hello, i am photographer and looking for gpu. What gpu would make sense for me to use with programs like Capture One and Photoshop ? I know these are mainly cpu based but for example Capture One has GPU acceleration option. My current GTX 1080ti would be overkill for that and I would like to sell it coz i do not play games anymore. GPU would be used only for photo-editing. Thanks for the advice P.S. using 4k monitor

To be honest your onboard GPU would probably be adequate. However since you're only doing 2D work in Photoshop more or less any GPU with 2 - 4Gb ram should do the trick.

With 4K monitor, bare minimum i'd go with would be GTX 1070.

Though, any GPU between GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 Ti would do. GPU performances go as follows (starting from the weakest): RX 590, GTX 1660 Ti, GTX 1070, RTX 2060, Vega 56, GTX 1070 Ti, Vega 64, GTX 1080, RTX 2070, Radeon VII, RTX 2080, GTX 1080 Ti, RTX 2080 Ti, Titan RTX.

Weaker GPUs, e.g RX 580, GTX 1060 3/6GB, GTX 1660, RX 590, can also run 4K monitor but GPU would be at it's limit, leaving nothing for GPU render.
