Is there any difference here, with all other things equal? I am looking at either a GTX 970 or an R9 390 (eventually 2 of whichever one I choose) and was wondering if there is a benefit to either one while simultaneously gaming and streaming? Specifically regarding CUDA cores vs. Stream Processors. From what I understand they are pretty much the same things, they are just optimized differently in different applications. Thanks!

Just the 970 has an advantage if you use Shadow play but the 390 will provide a lot smoother gaming with less lag/stuttering due to the 8gb which are really useful with new/heavy games while streaming... Generally the most important factor for streaming is your internet upload speed :D and you also need to have a strong enough CPU (i7 preferably) and enough ram and ofcourse A gpu which can handle the game

Since you Havent purchased a gpu I would wait for the GTX 1070 which will be more power efficient, it will have a few more frames and Those 8gb's of Vram

If you arent in a hurry wait for it^ cause it will have a bit better drivers, lower noise, temps and The nvidia optimized games are weirdly getting more and more with time

Thanks for the info bro, I hadn't yet read the specs of the new 1070 but if it has 8 gigs of VRAM I will definitely go that route!
