I'm upgrading my system after a decade of gaming at 1080p. I want to buy an ultra-wide 34" 2k 144 hz monitor (LG 34GK950F-B)... damn it's expensive. I play Battlefield V. So what's it going to take to run that thing at decent frames?

RTX 2060 might be too low, but will an RTX 2070 do the trick (perhaps RX 5700 xt)... or will it require 2080ti type of power? I'd hate to spend $450 on a gpu only to find out it barely gets 40-60 fps.

What's the recommended gpu for that kind of monitor and that kind of AAA game?

Dang, I was hoping it wouldn't require that much firepower.... (money). Between the cost of the monitor and gpu, this is gonna be a hard sell to the wife.
Does it need to be 144hz?

What about 3440x1440P/100hz with a 2070? May need to turn down the settings for a steady 100 FPS but would be a much cheaper. (happy wife=happy life)

In games like BFV, at least for multiplayer, I keep settings on Low (nothing fancy to distract), Mesh on Ultra (for distance targets), to keep FPS high and stable. Other games which don't really have a significant impact between high FPS I keep my settings higher and run the game around 60 FPS with Freesync enabled to keep things smooth.

This is just over the cost of that 950F.
