Hi All,

I am in the process of creating a PC build for video editing with an intention of using Adobe Premiere CS6.

My setup:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor (£261.95 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£120.99 @ Ebuyer)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury White 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (£27.99 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Crucial BX200 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£45.98)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£74.99 @ Novatech)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 4GB Video Card (£164.95 @ More Computers)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case (£49.99 @ Amazon UK)
Power Supply: Silverstone Strider Gold 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (£88.40 @ More Computers)
Monitor: Acer K242HL Bbid 60Hz 24.0" Monitor (£82.98)

NB I have droppd the RAM from 32GB to 16GB to now 8GB as so save a bit of money and buy and install more when I have the cash to spare.

I was looking at 2 graphics cards in particular:
Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti WindForce2 OC Graphics Card - 4GB (£116)

OR

Gigabyte GTX960 Windforce 2X Cooler OC NVIDIA Graphics Card 4GB (£169)

I'm looking to do HD to potentially 4K editing on Adobe Premiere (once I upgrade the RAM), plus some light gaming in particular Fallout 4.

I was wondering if the £50 difference is worth it? I am on a semi-tight budget; however, it wouldn't be a complete kick in the nuts if I have to fork out for the more expensive one. I just don't want to spend the extra money if it is not needed. If there are any other cards you think might be better then please let me know.

Thank you very much in advance for any help you give.

Ofcourse the 960 is way Better than 750Ti , However The GTX 750Ti Wouldn't Perform Much in Video Editing , But if you're looking For Cheap GPU That can just support video editing ( not 4K ) and cool Gaming , The 750Ti would be perfect choice . If you want to do 4k editing , the 960 is better :)

Thank you for your quick responses. @Mr Kagouris I know, it sounds a bit nonsensical saying I need to save £30 on RAM when I'm buying a machine around £900-£1000, I'm still contemplating whether to just buy the 16GB ram now or wait a little bit, prices might drop.

I am siding more with the 960, I saw the benchmark tests for Fallout 4 and it was basically double on every test compared to the 750ti. I was more curious if I would notice any significant difference between performance whilst editing (?). I think @Deepesh Shenoy is onto the right idea, looking to the future I'd need a card that is better at handling advances in video.

Well thing is DDR4 is becoming mainstream now so DDR3 will soon enter the phase of getting more expensive, much like DDR2 did. If you upgrade within a year that's fine but if you wait longer there's no guarantee you'll find lower or even the same prices. I also don't believe DDR3 prices will lower any further.

I'm going to pick up more RAM, it is a no brainer you guys are right. I will go for the 960 as well.
I need help picking the PSU and the case, I picked them pretty much at random, I've done some research, but I have no idea how to select a right one. I'll post it in the relevant forum.

Thank you both very much for your help.
