GPU/Frame Rate issues

Is my GPU being bottlenecked by my APU processor?

My specs
A8 7600 3.1 GHz OC to 3.7
8Gb Ram
Club 3D R9 270
Rosewill Glacier 500w PSU

If so then im willing to upgrade to the 860k but ive never changed a processor before.

My friend gets about 50fps more than me on CSGO and he has a Gtx 750 and an Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz processor and neither of his are OC

Help please

The i5 4460 is helping your friend more as it has better single core performance. The 860K still falls short compared to the i5 4460 for single core.

you can over clock your 270 using MSI Afterburner to at least 1020 MHz or even 1070 MHz. Some 270's come very low clock from 3rd parties.

yea but the 860k is the best fm2+ cpu and i really do not wanna get a new mobo so do you think it will help?

ive done that but no real significant improvement as far as I can tell on CSGO atleast. I cant maintain a solid 120fps even though I feel as if I should with this card.

run MSI afterburner and in preferences set to show On-Screen Display real time stats for cpu/gpu/ram/vram usage and then while you are running the game, see which hardware part is maxing out and slowing you down.

Should check in the BIOS if the cpu is seen as 860k.

CPU was at 100% both on GW2 and CS GO
