Is Geforce 970 GTX enough for playing VR games?
What is the current of VR games like?

And finally I know about PS4 VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. But I notice these expensive options alongside other VR Headsets which are cheaper like PIMAX 4K UHD Virtual Reality 3D PC Headset. How do I pick a headset which will work? Are there guides to buying them that go beyond the obvious 3?

Yes, the 970 is on the recommended specs for VR.

However, it is an old card and the GeForce GTX 1070 is much better for around the same price, not to mention newer and a host of benefits that come with being newer.

the gtx 970 is the MINIMUM required

recommended would be something like a gtx 1070




I dont think there is currently a single gpu that would be capable of 4k VR with acceptable performance
