GPU good enough with more RAM?

My PC can run Battlefield 3 at max settings, but with low FPS sometimes, and I was wondering if high demanding games like that could run better at max settings if I had more RAM maybe?

You can check your ram usage while in game, but 8 GB is about as much as you should want for gaming. More ram probably wont help unless you find yourself hitting 100% ram usage alot.
