Question GPU half-dead?

So listen to this,

I recently decided to get a new pc case because the last one was frankly too small (not even room to circulate air and i was bothered that i couldn't use ALL my available case fans). Long story short, bought a new one, it's gorgeous, lots of room, better cable management. All is well. EXCEPT my GPU. After I took everything apart and put it back in, I somehow "missed" which DP port i was using for my 2nd monitor and slotted it in another one of the 2 i wasn't using. And panic, no 2nd monitor. Tried the next one, panic again. Tried the last one, it's working. So after 4h of cleaning, troubleshooting, DDU uninstaller, direct display update, firmware update, everything I could really think of, came to the conclusion that 2 DP ports out of 3 are not working. DP cable working fine for the 1st monitor, but not another slot. I don't know what bugs me the most, the fact that now the price of the RTX 3060 12GB is more than 60% cheaper second hand or that I don't have the possibility to use 3+ monitors (although i don't have enough room for them on my desk) OR the fact that I have not used more than 1DP connector so idk if it came ruined or I did something to it since i bought it in 2022.

Has anyone else experienced this with a 3060 gpu?!

Much appreciated for reading my back-to-reality-gpu-is-half-dead heart to heart.

Hey Alex,

So, I'd suggest taking the GPU out, and giving it a good clean with a can of compressed air. It's possibly some dirt or something is preventing the GPU from functioing as expected. Whilst you have the GPU out, check the PCIe socket and check for any dust there too. It might be worth giving the GPU contacts a clean with some Isopropyl Alcohol 99% and rule that out too.

Did you make any changes in the bios? Have you updated the bios recently? If so, what did you do?

Are the power cables to the GPU firmly in their socket? You might disconnect them, and re-insert to be sure. You will hear/feel a little clock whey they are in correctly.

Did all that already, it's clean. The part that makes me think it's the DP slot is that the cable is working on the 1st monitor in the same slot, but not working in the other slots. Also took GPU out and cleaned the PCI-E slot as well, there was some dust here and there, and something grey and dusty near it but that's it. Haven't tried to clean it with compressed air and iso-alcohol as I'm honestly afraid to ruin it even further. GPU contacts meaning the ones connecting on the mobo?

For me, the fact that's it's the same behaviour with different monitor makes me think it's a slot issue. I've asked other people and they told me that as well. Also frustrating is the fact that it's one-month post-warranty (story of my electronics, honestly, everything breaks down after the warranty goes away).

L.E.: I have 90% isopropyl alcohol. Would that work?
Later-later-edit: Would it have been something from the PSU (not enough power, etc?)

ISO evaporates once used. You need only daba cotton bud in it, and gently swab the contacts. There should be no residue left behind.

Damn, that is such bad luck.

Yes, that's fine.

Yes, you're right. It looks like it might be the DP ports screwed. Maybe some kind of short. Hard to say.
