GPU Headache...

I've been trying to figure out what the best gpu is to buy, but the moment i think i got it figured out I find a new piece of info and i have to re-read the benchmarks.
I plan to run 1 monitor at either 1920x1200 or 2560x1600.
Say I want to run Metro 2033: Last Light. Settings at dx11 max quality, max AA (AAA i think), max AF, DoF. Basically absolute max graphics settings and get 80+ fps what graphics card should I buy. I am planning on using dual cards. I was going to go sli 580's but looking at benchmarks they cant handle these requirements from what I see. Maybe I'm reading the benchmarks wrong?

Why would you want 80+ fps?

SLI 580s can run Metro 2033 at 65fps @ 1920x1200 which is more then enough.

You would need three 580s to get 80+ fps but I don't understand why you want 80+

A typcial 60Hz monitor will basically be limited to 60 frames per second because the monitor will only recieve a signal from the video card 60 times per second.

Reminds me of Spinal Tap but my amplifier goes to "11".

you should try two 6990's but why you want 80+fps,50-60fps is enough and is your monitor 60 Hz or 70Hz
