Maybe I've gone blind, but I can't find ANY heat and watt benchmarks for GPUs here or any other review sites. What am I missing?

I'm spec'ing out a new high end system for Photoshop CS4 for when Windows 7 releases October 22nd and want to get the best OpenGL GPU for Photoshop that I can without wasting pointless watts or adding heat.

I'm not a gamer (solitaire sometimes :sarcastic:), and don't need the card for anything besides Photoshop.

Where can I find watt and heat benchmarks?

Thanks.

nvidia.com has the wattages (and the temps, i believe) for their cards, i would hope ati does the same.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 275: Worthy Rival to Radeon HD 4890

You are a saint for providing those charts. That is exactly what I wanted. As far as temp and watts go, it looks like I want the GTX 260.

Now for a bit of research to see if the GTX 260 compared to the GTX 285 would cause a performance hit in Photoshop CS4 on a 30" monitor. If anyone has any ideas about that, I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks.

Interesting. Nvidia site says the GTX275 should have just over 200 Watts and the 285 GTX is just under 200W. The Ati 4890 is 180-190 depending on who you listen to. Apparently Ati doesnt provide specific power ratings like nvidia.

For gaming the 260 is about 10% slower than a GTX 275 which is 5% slower than a GTX 285 (A 275 is a 285 gpu with the 260s memory bandwidth). I dont have any idea about photoshop performance.

Appreciate the % figures on the three cards. Thanks.
