GPU heatsink Overtight screws?

Hi,

I recently reapplied the thermal paste on my sapphire r9 280. Should i tighten the screws on the heatsink as hard as i can? Or is it bad?

I would suggest only tightening them as far as they will go. They will naturally reach a point where they will go no further and if you try to tighten them from that point you could cause damage.

You shouldn't tighten them as hard as you can, you risk ruining the threads. The screw will have no thread to hold onto and pop out.
