[SOLVED] Gpu height question

Right now I have a Rtx 2070 super founders edition in my build but I am getting my evga ftw3 ultra 3070 ti here in a couple days. I looked at the dimensions for both and noticed the new card is about 3/4 inches taller than my 2070 super fe.

I have a nvme installed right above the gpu, and its pretty close. Is that going to be an issue or does that really matter? I cant imagine they would make some gpus get in the way of m2 slots so just wondering.

The height of a gpu will always be beneath the pci express slot not above.

So it's not going to affect an nvme that's above that slot only stuff that's below.

MadMatt is correct. The thickness of the GPU (# of slots) extends away from the CPU socket. Only the backplate (or lack thereof) extends toward the CPU socket.
