GPU Help for new PC Build

Hi,
This is my first time building a PC, and I want to know if the GPU I chose was a good choice. I want to play games regularly such as Smite, Skyrim, ESO, Titanfall, and Dark Souls 2. I would like to play these games in high/ultra settings. Not only these games, but others as way. The GPU is XFX Double D R9-270A-CDFC Radeon R9 270 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card. The rest of my PC is

Processor: Intel i5 4670k ($210)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance ($85)
Motherboard: ASUS Z87 PLUS ($160)
GPU: XFX Double D R9-270A-CDFC Radeon R9 270 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card
Hard Drive :WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Drive

The first is 4gb, the second one 2. And they are both plenty fst. And here is something to read on picking the right GPU for you.

I disagree. That gpu can totally handle max settings, albiet at a lower fps but its still going to be above 30 fps on ultra even in BF4

When most people say "ultra", they are looking for 60fps+

That is expensive for me. I would like something that is around $200 if you can help me find something like that, it would be great!

And I would think it a shame to choose a GPU that doesn't really pair well with a great CPU such as the i5-4670k such as the one he has. It is very lop-sided.

If 200 is the limit, you chose right then. It would be hard to beat the r9 270 in that price range.

You've got a good CPU. You should be able to use anything for a GPU to get 1080p. 290/x and 7890/ti are overkill. A 270 is a bit on the low side. But if you got a bit bigger PSU you could add a second 270. Or if you can stretch your budget a bit more maybe a 270X ->280 ->280X or GTX760. It s a big jump to a 770. 770's have a good Price/Performance though.
