GPU installation problems

I have an nzxt phantom and a gtx 970 and it seems like the bracket that the GPU screws into is blocking me from pushing the card all the way down. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Remove the screws first, maybe ?
Need more info, maybe a pic, to be able to judge what's wrong !

How do I put pictures ? The screws are out and everything but the metal plate on the GPU used to screw in is hitting the metal bracket and is unable to go any further down because of it
