GPU installation

I have Packard Bell ixtreme PC with Radeon HD 5570 in it. What I am intrested in is it possible to install a GPU longer than the 10.4" which measures from the other side of the case to the HD bay. I'd like to install 6950/equivalent/better with new PSU but can I remove the HD bay or anything like that? Any help appreciated.
