I bought a Msi B650 Gaming Plus Wifi mainboard with a Ryzen 7600 and 32GB DDR5 Ram. If I boot the system with Hdmi connected to the mainboard to us the igpu everything runs fine, the problem starts when I try to connect directly to the discrete gpu my Gtx 1080 (Tried HDMI and Displayport) but I get most of the time no display signal (Gpu works flawlessly in another Pc since many years so its not the Gpu). If I boot into windows using the Igpu then the Gtx 1080 is correctly recognized in the taskmanager, in gpuz and I can even install Nvidia drivers.

I have PEG enabled in the bios and the graphic card detection to auto (Since I can only switch between auto and ignore because it does not recognize the Gpu) Bios version is also updated to the newest version. Now it gets weird: Sometimes it is possible to get to windows with the monitor only being connected to the gpu but it takes like 1 minute of black screen and then directly shows the windows start screen, it never shows the bios splash screen(It always does if I connect the monitor to the igpu). If I try to hit delete during the boot I never get any picture at all, only if I don`t hit anything on the keyboard and wait a minute it sometimes shows the windows start screen. If I ocassionally manage to boot into windows with the Gpu it then works perfectly fine, even under high stress during gaming at 100% usage there is no problem, no artifacts, it runs smooth. So it can`t be the pcie slot or the psu being faulty? But its impossible to get into the bios if my monitor is connected directly to the Gtx 1080 instead of the igpu and it doesn`t get recognized in the Bios itself either.

I never had such a weird problem and I would really appreciate some ideas or input what else I could try.

So you essentially performed a system upgrade with merely the motherboard, processor and ram. Did you reinstall the OS after the platform migration?

Speaking of platforms,
Bios version is also updated to the newest version
what BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Thanks for the reply and sorry. I upgraded the complete system with a complete new windows install, only the gpu and the monitor are from the old system. The specs are:
Cpu: Ryzen 5 7600 (non x)
Cpu Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin SE 120
Motherboard: MSI B650 Gaming Plus Wifi
Ram: Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6000Mhz CL30(CMK32GX5M2B6000Z30) Installed in Slot 2 and 4, Expo is enabled (Enabled profil 1 in the Bios that was already set there, didn`t do any manual changes myself)
SSD: 2x 4TB Samsung 990Pro (On one drive Windows 11 was freshly installed, the other one is for storage only. System drive in Slot M2_1, storage drive in M2_2 slot)
GPU: KFA2 Gtx 1080 Exoc
PSU: Be quiet Pure Power 12m 750W (Bought brand new 4 weeks ago with the rest of the system)
Chassis: Lian Li Lancool 216x
OS: Windows 11 freshly installed without any data from the old OS. Windows version 24H2
Monitor: Benq EW3270U 32

Bios Versions I tested are: 7E26v1H6 and 7E26v1H2, neither of them worked. Currently 7E26v1H2 is installed.
I also ran Memtest86 to test if the Ram is faulty, 5 runs over 8 hours, no errors detected. I also used Samsung Magician and Crystaldiskmark/Chrystaldiskinfo to check both 990pros for faults, neither software reported any issues, read write benchmarks are as they should be too. I also used HWMonitor to check the temps, Cpu runs at 40°C same with Gpu and the rest of the system.
