GPU is way too hot!

Hello all,

I recently bought a new case (CM Storm Scout) to try and see if it would help cool down my new nVidia GTX 460 card. Which is now hovering around 65 degrees Celsius when playing games, but drops to about 46C when not. The case has a front intake fan which leads to a back and top case output. The rest of the system temps are fine. I just need some help with cooling down the GPU and welcome any tips.

65 ain't bad. You could try to increase your fan speed with an oc program like msi afterburner.

65 degrees celsius is actually a good load temperature for a GPU as powerful as a GTX 460, don't worry about it, GPUs are designed to run at hotter temperatures than CPUs. Only get worried if your temps get up to the high 80s or 90+ degrees celsius.

My 560 runs at 70-75 while playing, so did my previous card gtx465. Better cards -> Higher temps.

my rx560 runs at 60 on any game not higher
in some games like the crew 2 i get 62 max
25-35 while not doing anything heavy
