GPU keeps crashing
Gave my friend my old Vega 64 and it keeps crashing while gaming. Randomly goes black screen, fans scream and then pc restarts. Things I've tried:
A whole bunch of different drivers (including pro drivers)
Reinstalling windows
Reseating GPU and ram
Made sure using two different pcie cables instead of daisy chain
Swapped out PSU *currently have 750w gold
Things that have made progress: I undervolted the card in AMD adrenalin by just reducing the last 4 states to 1000mv. That allowed her to play hogwarts legacy without crashing. But when she tries to play lotr return to moria it keeps crashing. Reducing the mv to 980 and bringing the max clocks down one step buys some time in between crashes so it seems like that is helping but we haven't found anything that can keep it from crashing 100%. I don't know a lot about gpu tuning so if someone could help me out that'd be appreciated. Just looking to make it more stable don't care if it hurts performance at all.
Thanks.
