Hi, I recently bought a gigabyte rx 580 8gb graphics card. and I get GPU load spikes when I play games and even when I am not playing games. When I launch a game it takes a bit more time to load the graphics and all. Sometimes the characters don't load properly. and even the sound of the game is also not synced in the beginning. I tried a lot of things. reinstalled drivers cleanly. tried undervolting the GPU. and disabling HDCP support from the AMD software. nothing is working.

my specs
i7 3770
dh77kc mainboard
16 GB ddr3 1333 ram
600w PSU

Ok,ok. We maybe found the answer.
Talk to the guy, who sold u the card, and ask him 'is this just another rx 580,570 or 560, used&destroyed for mining activites?'
XXD
Just kidding. Why was he selling the video card?
I bought it from a shop. they sell used gpu. it could be used for mining. so does this means the gpu is faulty?

does this means the gpu is faulty

Yeah, man, that' the s right way - ask me sssooo inteligently! This is the question of the century.
(I was ready to literally buy a gt 1030, just , as it was guaranteed to has not been used in mining, but i got a better card with the same low risk. Just a personal thingy maybe...?)

But I like ur cpu ... damn, I still wanna help u.

Here are things to think about:
  • RDR 2 does have its bugs and glitches (oh, god, it DOES!) Try if it happens with other games, too. And try if ur older video card/graphics behaves the same way.
  • Newer Radeon cards tend to have a ridicilous problem with older hardware.
Yeah, buddy! It is possible that ur system isn't really OK with this radeon, damn, while i wouldn't be amazed if any RTX would work...
Perfectly!

- And next time when u aren't sure about if the card hasn't been exhausted in some way, or the guy's been usin' it for mining, just buy another card. Iwouldn't even buy an NVIDIA's card , if used for mining or another hard exhausting
(oh, I admit, I have some preferences)

Oh, and there comes some good software, allowing you to compare the gpu results with the averages:

yes the glitches happen in other games too. but not in data 2. it has some stutters and lag. plus the gpu load spikes while playing the game. but in rdr2 the gpu load is constant 100%.

in overwatch the characters are not rendering. they appear as glowing white and red lights.

in warzone its not loading in to the game from the main menu. it just stuck there. and the character that's suppose to be walking in the main menu is also no there. lol

I had a gtx 1050 ti before and it never gave me any trouble. only low fps.

I downloaded and ran heaven benchmark. and it was smooth. no issues.

Yea, yea, why would it happen in games like DOTA 2 or LoL? Then it'd probably not even give u any screen from the moment of turning on the PC. Ofc, it needs a game with some more graphics to show its horns.
Anyway, take novabench, make full system test and see comparison with the averages of ur GPU and CPU, tho the 1st is what we're interested in.

And say what happens.
And feel free to ask the seller - shop or whatever, this: 'W T F*CK, man??!
XDD

Sure, sure.
Remember that, aside of the jokes, u can talk with the guys who sold u the card.
Not only they may do something in case it is damaged/exhausted, but they may know how you can customize your settings in order to improve things.
Hey I put power consumption display on after burner and my gpu consumps around 80w ingame. i checked other youtube videos they show around 160w. when I run heaven benchmark my gpu uses around 110w.
could this be an issue?

OK so I gave the card to the shop to check. they said it was ok. and i went and they showed me nfs heat with full graphics no issues. before that i actually format my hard and reboot os again. and i only installed rdr2 before handing them the pc. when in rdr2 it was the same. so i returned the gpu and ordered a gtx 1070 one
