Gpu low power usage

Im at a loss, any game i play shoots my cpu up to 100% while gpu stays at either 1-2% or 15-17%.
Is there anything wrong with my build? or am i doing something wrong? im trying to run basic games like Fortnite, Rainbow 6 siege, Darksouls. Dolphin emulator.
I have a A6 7400K CPU
Gtx 750 ti 4gb GPU
16GB RAM
FM2A68M- HD+ Mobo

I had a i5 650 and the same gpu but i also had only 4gb of ram with the i5 yet i would preform WAY better on anything with that set up.

Tells me that im better off with the 7400k but i have no idea what im doing wrong. I reinstalled everything and did a fresh wipe. i installed the drivers chrome and then steam to test it out on.

Your cpu seems to be the bottleneck here. But even on a 750ti sounds fishy to me. Try running a malware scan with HitmanPro X64.

i ran the scan twice to be sure but still no luck. Am i better off switching back to my i5 650 and 4gb of ram? at this point its better.

What are your temps? Check with multiple software to confirm.

Cpu hovers around 60-65 celsius while gpu is at 30

Check cpuz and see if it's clocking up. Make sure it's identifying all cores there too.

Seems like your cpu is bottlenecking. I was thinking it was a quad core but it's a dual core. The i5 650 is better. Cpuboss is terrible and you should stay away from it. Would you say i go back to my i5 650 and 4gb of ram? or stay on this 7400k and 16gb of ram? is there any fix?

When did you get the a6? Can you still return it? They're both ddr3 so you can take that 16gb and use it with the i5. You can try ocing but you can oc the i5 as well. Did you unknowingly buy a worse cpu?

my motherboard for the i5 650 is a veriton m498g. i cant change the ram speeds on that mobo so the 2x8gb 16gb of ram is useless on that one. friend had the cpu extra and i bought the fm2+ board for it. i can see if i can return it. Thanks for the responses!

You don't need to be able to change ram speed for it to work. It'll just run at 1333 which is no big deal. What's important is having more ram. 4gb is minimum and you'd want at least 8gb. It may have a compatibility issue if it doesn't work.

when ever i try and install a single 8 or both my pc gets stuck in a boot loop. so i have no idea on that matter
