gpu memory failure?

well nothing to say, my gpu memory goes crazy!,whenever i open gpuz the memory goes all the way up to its max then it drops down to zero then it maintains a specific value for awhile until it goes all the way up again and so on.so what am i dealing with?

Thats not a failure as if u have a failure u wouldnt have a card at all, firstly eliminate some things so reinstall gpu-z or try different software like msi after burner just to see if the software has glitched.

 


i've tried both msi and gigabyte guruii, same result, sounds like a sensor issue,well yesterday i tried to use a gpu-based password recovery tool which basically pushed my gpu to its limits, maybe it might have harmed the gpu,i also reinstalled the driver several times,and lastly i used Display Driver Uninstaller from guru3d to ensure a clean uninstallation
 


Okay, cant see how that would break it but its certainly possible, and theres no sensor involved, seeing as those readings are coming straight from the gpu itself. I suggest u turn ur computer on and off again to see if that cures otherwise theres nothing u can do. The vram is likely to be doing fine so i dont know, its a strange anomaly .
