Question Gpu Memory problem

I have 4gb graphic card, the problem is that the game which I play is using only 300mb of vram, but there is error with game setting is that your graphic memory exceeds or near..please low the settings

2...External gpu that causing problem is Geforce gt730
3..ram 8gb
