Yeah I kinda thought that I needed at least 60 FPS like a 60hz monitor on a 144Hz monitor. But I found out later on on the forum.
A 1060 6GB was kinda the pricerange that I wanted to go for. (330-350 euros) So paying at least 500 euros for a 1070, although it must be worth it, it's more than I can afford at the moment.
I know that I could make it on FPS count for some games like CSGO on low settings. But I think that it's better to wait for a CPU upgrade. Maybe on the next series or when the prices drop.
But what the monitor is concerned, it costs 700 euros, but that's really all the money that I collected untill now. So maybe I should wait on that too. Or is this monitor a better option for the lesser amount of money? (LG 29UM58 Ultrawide - Monitor) This is a 75hz monitor, still ultrawide and 29inch, still bigger than my 23,6inch screen which was what I wanted to go for. And the fact that this one isn't curved doesn't really matter for me.
Hypothetically speaking, if I would buy the other monitor, then I would have a big chunk of money left. Which I could save for a new GPU in the future. And if the extra hz would be such a big deal for me, I could later on upgrade again to a 144Hz monitor.
It's just an idea. I'm already happy that I know more about the higher refresh rates on monitors and their effect on the GPU. Btw will the CPU be affected or isn't this a problem.
