Hi,
I've an NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2080ti Founder's Edition which needs two 8-pin connectors. However, my PSU comes with the Dell T7500 workstation (1100 Watts 85PLUS Power Factor Correcting) has only 1x 8 pin power cable and 2x 6 pin power cables. Is it safe to use 1x 8 pin cable with 1x 6 pin cable knowing that the PCI slot can give 75 Watts?
My reasoning that it is safe is because the GPU needs 265 Watts and the 8 pin cable can give 150 Watts and the 6 pin cable can give 75 Watts while the PCI slot will give 75 Watts (Total=150+75+75= 300 Watts > 265 Watts).
