GPU needs a 6 pin and an 8 pin PCIe, psu only has one 8 pin, would it be safe to use a molex adapter?

The gpu is a Gigabyte GTX 960 4GB and the powersupply is a 450w 80+ bronze thermaltake

The PSU only has an 8 pin connector but has some extra molex, would it be fine to use the molex to 6 pin adapters included in the GPU?

Would this be safe to do?

That's rather a low quality power supply only 408 watts on the 12 volt rail and I would question if it can actually deliver that without popping.
Could work depending on the rest of your PC parts.

Other components are
i3-4170
MSI B85M-E45
and 2 drives

Other 960s seems to have similar power requirements, would this be a problem?
I wont be overclocking anything, if that helps...

The PSU should be fine for the 960, it is far from perfect and not the best quality, but its ok.

Yes you can use the a molex to 6pin without issues.
