Hey there!Half a year ago I made an upgrade to my pc. I installed a new motherboard, new ram and new cpu. Since then, something strange happens. When I turn on my PC everything seems normal but from time to time the gpu wont spin its fans after it logged in into windows. ( They do spin when the pc is booting )The only thing that helps now is to unplug the gpu from the power supply. Could that be a problem of MSI Afterburner?I also use some sort of cable sleeves extension, but I don't think that these will affect anything, but maybe I'm wrong..Mostly happens, when I turn of my PC an turn it back on within like 30 minutes, sometimes even after a day I get this problem

CPU: i7 113700k
GPU 2080ti Gaming X Trio
Motherboard: z690Edge DDR4
PSU:MSI MPG A1000G ATX

tl:dr

Pc boots correctly but my displays not showing anything - gpu fans won't spin. Suddenly working when unplugging and plugging in the gpu power cables

That card has a fan off mode that shouldn't spin up until the core temperature reaches a certain threshold. 50~60C, or something like that. It's normal for the fans to spin up for the POST and turn off upon logging in.
Now, if you set a custom fan curve that's always on in Afterburner, and enabled AB to run upon Windows startup, then that's different.

I also use some sort of cable sleeves extension, but I don't think that these will affect anything, but maybe I'm wrong..
Extensions increase the degree of rail voltage droop - some droop is expected. Plus, power supply output 'ages' over time.
Combine the 2 points, and it means the user will swap out psus more frequently when using extensions.

With that in mind, first suggestion is going to be to try the gpu without the extensions.
If that doesn't improve things, my next suggestion would be to swap the current PCIe cables with 'fresher' ones. That unit is supplied with several 6+2 PCIe cables.
If neither of those improve things, then test the gpu in another PC.

Yup, that's because I created a custom fan curve.

Weird thing is, that I use them since 3 years without any problem. Also the psu is not even 1 year old

Gotcha. And the other 2?
-Run without the extensions.
-Use newer PCIe 6+2 cables that came with psu.
Okay so, I guess the extension cables are the problem. I removed them and now I did a bunch of restarts and some shutdowns with some time in between turning it back on and everything is fine
