[SOLVED] GPU not detected when i want to install its driver

ive got an ASUS x550LB and sometimes i have blue screens of death for video tdr failure - nvlddmkm.sys it gives me this error everytime my pc freezes (often)
and lately i open my laptop and it freezes instantly so i have to reboot it 5 times before i can use it
ive uninstalled the GPU's drivers because i wanted to clean install the new driver and because league of legends says it could not initialize the graphics device (it sometimes works and i can use it for lol but not always) i even uninstalled it from hidden device list in device manager
when i try to install he new driver it says i have no hardware compatible with it also the windows version isnt compatible
ive searched everywhere and i cant find a fix
windows 10 pro 64 bit
it has a nvidia geforce 740m
cpu- i7 4500U
ram 12 gb
ive tried to search for hardware in the device manager but it dosent work

run DDU to ensure all previous data related to the GPU is removed. then try installing the Nvidia driver package again.

it worked thank you for the help , ive heard of DDU but never actually used it myself
