GPU Not Displayed!

So about an hour ago I went to MSI Afterburner and it said that I had a GTX Geforce 1060 (My GPU) I did a factory reset on my PC and know it shows Microsoft Basic Display Adaptor.

that's because ur PC haven't detect the new hardware
go to device manager and use the detect new hardware option
btw, u already plugged ur display cable to your GPU port instead of your mobo port right?

Did all that, still not working, tried downloading drivers and this popped up, This NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of Windows. Even tried removing and putting back the GPU in the PC, still not working.

Download geforce experience only and not the driver. Then Let the geforce program update the driver for you

NVIDIA Installer cannot continue
This NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of Windows. (I have windows 10). Any recommendations?

I'm using the right bit as well.

it is strange, if you use the correct file. Anyway try with a windows update or a program like 3dp chip as a last resort.

did you upgrade to windows 10 at any point? Even after a reset if you upgraded at any point in time you still will have a nvidia driver folder in the .old. Just find them and delete them. Uninstall you current MS generic driver and reboot. Then reinstall you gpu driver right away.

Where do I find the "old drivers".
