Hi all,

I just recently built a SFF build. It was my first ever, and the cable management isn't great, but it works. When I first booted it, the GPU will not display. I have built some PCs before, so I made sure I had my display port cable in the GPU instead of Mobo. I was concerned about not being able to display thru GPU, so I did a quick search and people said to install fresh drivers using integrated graphics and then use GPU. So I did that and did a clean install of windows, and started downloading drivers.

The drivers installed, I restarted, and Nvidia control panel detects my GPU. However, when I shut down and use the GPU for display, still nothing. I go back into UEFI/BIOS and see that internal graphics is enabled, and I'm assuming that is taking priority over GPU, so I turn it off, and plug display port back into GPU. Still nothing. Only problem now is I can't use integrated graphics at all because it is disabled in the UEFI and I have no clue what to do next.

Here are my specs:
CPU: 12600K
GPU: EVGA 3080 FTW 3
Mobo: gigabyte aorus ultra z690i ddr4
Cooler: EVGA CLC 280
RAM: G skill trident z 3200 MHz cl 16
Storage: 1tb WD black sn 850
Case: SSUPD meshlicious

Just a side note: in the UEFI, under plug in info it says that PCIEX16: N/A, and I'm not sure if that means the bios doesn't detect the GPU or something else. I am sure that I saw my GPU under Nvidia control panel tho. Any help would be great, and if anyone needs any more info please ask! Thanks!

Solution
you need have secure boot disabled in the UEFI/bios, since you are using a gigabyte motherboard, you will need to disable secure boot for a non GIGABYTE video card to work

Ok thanks. Two quick things: the graphics card has worked before I posted this question, but it only allowed me to log into windows before abruptly shutting down and did not start the display back up. Also I can't get into UEFI anymore because I disabled internal graphics... Is there a way I can reset UEFI from outside the system?

you can remove the cmos battery from the motherboard for 5 minutes, then put it back that should reset it
Sorry to keep bothering u but for some reason I can't restart the computer without the display not working? I have to power down and then restart and it's kind of a hassle. I can live by it if it works but I'm not sure if it's intended.

Edit: I am running into the same problem again where it boots up for a split second and signal not found. I also can't boot into bios too
