I have a AsRock h110-dgs mobo, 8 gigs of crucial ram, a 450w PSU 80+ bronze from EVGA, an optical drive, 120gb ssd, intel g5000 processor w/ stock cooler, and a rx460 from AMD.

When I put the pc together it didn't post, I took the gpu out and plugged my monitor into the motherboard and got a post, installed all motherboard drivers and tried again, no luck. I have tried to reseat the gpu with no luck, I have also made sure the 6pin connector was connected which it was. The only thing showing the cards life is a small green LED under the 6pin power connector. I don't know why the card won't send a signal to the monitor

Solution
Use a can of compressed air to blow the PCI-E slot out. Sometimes on new builds I have some crap in my slots.

After that make sure you set your BIOS to disable the on board GPU.
