In many games I've noticed performance issues, in which the FPS is travelling all over the place. Particularly, in Runescape's new NXT client, and spotty FPS drops in Battlefield 4. I went into afterburner to check what is being utilized and noticed that my graphics card is not working to 100% even when in the highest graphic settings in game, and I'm still getting rather poor performance.
To start here is my specs:
GPU: R9-390 MSI
CPU: amd Fx8350
RAM: 2-Channel 8gb ram (16gb total) G. Skill
1TB HDD
PSU: Corsair CX750M
OS: Windows 10
I just did an RMA on the PSU due to it having coil whine, I'm not sure if this may be causing the problem or not.
Here is a good example in Runescape (New Client coded in C++), notice how the FPS is around 30 yet my GPU load is only averaging around 70% and in times dropping to 30-45%.
