Hi!
Im using this setup:
CPU- AMD FX-8320 @4.11GHz
GPU- Sapphire AMD R9 280x Vapor-x Tri-x FACTORY OC
RAM-8GB
MOBO- Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0
HDD-2tb + 60gb ssd

So. as title says.. my gpu earlier used to give 104FPS in furmark preset gpu stress test
but now it was 95FPS max.. i installed all drivers again.. boosted to 99FPS MAX
why i reinstalled drivers?
I recently upgraded to Win10 Anniversary Update
but i thought the update is the issue so had a pc reset from win 10 settings, it didnt work
so clean installed windows 10 and reinstalled drivers, DIDNT WORK

CPU is not bottlenecking ..
Can somebody help?

(SORRY FOR BAD ENGLISH)

Have you tried cleaning your PC parts? If it's dusty it might run quite a bit hotter and it then get throttled.

To give us more info install MSI Afterburner, run a benchmark and note down the following:
GPU Temps: Max and Average
GPU Fan Speed: Max and Average
CPU Temps: Max and Average
GPU Usage
CPU Usage
RAM Usage

What software should i use to benchmark?

EDIT: To attain previous performance i have to OC gpu's CoreClock to 55 more Mhz. i used to get that performance at 1100MHz but now that performance is attained at 1155MHz

Will this do?

it ran for about 9mins47secs then pc freezed.
max temps were 86C

So.
I did it but not at 100% fan but on auto. thought to try again.
It ran for more than 2 hours at 88C MAX and 86C AVG.
It didnt crash or freeze.. i stopped stress test after 2 hours
FPS constant 100..

Sorry i dont have screenshots or log but i know the fan speeds were same as before.. I did try with 100% speed but temps were still 82C then tried turning fan to auto.. temperature bounced to 88C but nothing crashed. Same poor performance!

It would be best to try a different benchmark. Furmark is often specifically programmed for in the drivers to limit performance, because Furmark is nothing but a heat virus according to Nvidia and AMD.

Use 3dmark Time Spy. Link the results here, look at the score details and see how it compares. Furmark is not a benchmark. It's an outdated tool for checking stability, but given it's heat virus status, AMD and Nvidia will limit performance in it.

Thanks for reply!
See, I dont want to know if im getting same performance or not. I already Know that im not getting the same performance i got before!
and thats not only in furmark, but in all games i get poor performance now. earlier I played NFS MW 2012 at constant 60FPS at vsync on. but now it strives ti stay above 48FPS! This is a huge performance Drop. Even in GTA5 , gpu has to struggle to keep it above 30FPS. but earlier i got 59FPS mostly with VSYNC on. and AVG about 51FPS

anymore help mate?

I honestly do not know. GTA V is a CPU intensive title so maybe your CPU is bottlenecking. It's a wild guess, though. Run GTA V and create a log file using MSI Afterburner. Play the game for at least 10min. Maybe with more data we can narrow down the error.

Well Its now fixed!
dont know actually what was the problem.. but just cleaned up my pc and moved gpu to other pci port.
And it worked!
to ensure if my problem was with the pci port itself.. i moved it back to the old port but amazingly it wasnt the problem!

i think Cleanliness is the Medicine!

Sorry for so late reply! net was down for a month

It did have issues in games! I suffered.. u wont know until it happens with you. but i wish it doesnt happen with anyone
