[SOLVED] Gpu not recognized through riser

I have a b150 zotac mining board, and trying to connect an rx580 with ubit riser. I have an 850watt power supply and a 5700xt in the 16pin pcie slot directly on the motherboard. I plugged in a 6pin from the vga on the psu, And the usb to one of the the pcie 1 lanes. the riser shows a green light, but windows nor wattman recognizes a new card being there (device manger still says intel graphics + 5700xt , no 580. I’m not sure what’s going on wondered if anyone could help. Would be greatly appreciated. Under my bios it shows all lanes enabled.

I would:

1. Try the card in another PC (to make sure it is alive
2. Try a powered raiser

I used to use a lot of them when designing small form factor PCs with full-size GPUs. A lot of them are poorly made. It wasn't unusual for me to find 4 working from a box of 10 sometimes.
