GPU not taking OC settings

GPU: NVidia GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB

CPU: i7 7th gen

Ram: 16 GB

OC settings not being taken into effect from EVGA Precision XOC (steam version)HP wiped the GPU's bios so I can't update the bios

if you have an OEM GPU they may have disabled overclocking. they didn't wipe the GPU bios. if that happened it wouldn't work at all. likely hid it. there are ways around this but it involves a special hardware clip to connect to the bios chip on the GPU board and you have to run custom microcode etc...

looks like your SOL imo. don't overclock in this situation.

I know its been a while but I forgot I didn't reply to this one.

yea your not going to be able to OC that card. just enjoy the FPS that you have and buy a better computer next time if you want to try overclocking.
