Hey guys,

Ive just finished building my first gaming PC, components listed below.

CPU - ryzen 5 2600
GPU - Geforce GTX 1080
MOBO - Gigabyte X470 Aourus ultra gaming
PSU - EVGA supernova G2 650w
16GB DDR4 RAM

The problem is my GPU doesn't seem to be working. Ive installed the latest drivers but when I try and get into a game, it doesn't work and says I need to ensure the latest GPU drivers are installed. Ive seen other threads that say the problem can be fixed with a bios update but it wont let me update to the latest bios version, or any other version of the bios for that matter.

Can anybody help?

No much to go on here, but the first thing that I would do is make sure all the wires and sockets in the PC are plugged in properly and not loose and also do a factory reset, then install the latest drivers. Hope this fixes it!

The first thing I don't was install windows 10 64 bit, then checked for windows updates and downloaded all of those. Then started downloading drivers. Ill open My PC up and make sure everything Is plugged in properly

Check windows update again, sometimes you need to go through it a few times until theres no more updates to install.

It will remove everything apart from windows, it will just be like if you have just turned it on for the first time.

Alright ive checked all the wires, factory reset, fully udtated windows, installed driver booster and downloaded all the drivers through there, then downloaded the latest NVIDA drivers again aswell. Still nothing. Could it possibly be that im only using a HDMI cable

So what happens? When you install the driver it says it cannot detect anything?

When you go into device manager, and expand the video card, what does it show?

It says that that the latest drivers are installed, then when I try and open a game it doesn't work and says I need to make sure the latest drivers are installed. I don't know what you mean by expanding the video card.

And the TV is plugged in directly to the graphics card right?

So when you downloaded the drivers from nvidia.com and installed them, I assume you dont get any errors or anything?

Have you tried any other games?
